The Aquaman Chronicles #19 Out Now!

sg
The newest issue of John Schwirian's exhaustive The Aquaman Chronicles fanzine is out now!

Jam-packed into its 100(!) pages are all kinds of articles on the Sea King, including the results of a survey John sent out to the Chronicles' readers. Question #14 was "What Would You Change About The Aquaman Chronicles?"

Among the answers, two people responded "More from Rob Kelly." Wow, I didn't even know my Mom and Dad read The Aquaman Chronicles!

Seriously, its a fun mag and if you're an Aquaman fan you should check it out. You can find out more about the mag here, including how to order it.

For those of you who don't already know, these are the covers for The Aquaman Chronicles, an old-school fanzine by long-time AquaFan John Schwirian.

Starting back in 2001, John's magazine is truly a labor of love, and his enthusiasm for the King of the Seven Seas is something anyone who visits this site can obviously appreciate.

Each issue contains a multitude of features, from interviews with comics pros, essays on Aquaman comics, a Collectibles Corner, Current Events, and lots more.

The Aquaman Chronicles also regularly features articles by Shrine F.O.A.M. members, and with the newest issue, it has one by me, as well! John asked me to do a piece on the Batman syndicated newspaper strip when it guest-starred Aquaman, and of course I was happy to do it--because writing a daily blog about Aquaman just isn't enough for me!

Any of you interested in subscribing to The Aquaman Chronicles, please email John and tell 'em The Aquaman Shrine sent you!

The Aquaman Chronicles - 2001 - present

sg

I finally got caught up on all the back issues of the super-fun fanzine The Aquaman Chronicles, the brainchild of AquaFan Extraordinaire(and now F.O.A.M. member)
John Schwirian.

John sent me a giant package containing the first fourteen issues, and I spent a fun day immersing myself in All Things Aquaman(though how is that different than any other day, I'm not sure) and being pleasantly surprised that some of its contributors are commenters here!

And as you can see from some of the covers I selected, John features material from some of the best artists in the business, like Eric Shanower and Steve Epting. If you're an AquaFan, you should definitely check in on Chronicles. There's more info about the series at Laura's site
here.
