I really enjoyed this run by Will Pfiefer and Patrick Gleason. Aquaman was portrayed very well, Lorena was a welcome new character, and Sub Diego was a fascinating world for Aquaman to interact with. In some ways I wish it had been developed for a longer time (I felt much the same way about Dan Jurgens run earlier as well).

The problem with that run was that it was soooo decompressed. About 2.5 issues' worth of story took 6 to develop, and unfortunately Aquaman is a character you need to start very strong with to get reader traction.

I agree with both of you. The story idea plot was inherently interesting....but moved SO slowly, and was distracted by something about Aquaman's blood or some nonsense. I am not all that interested in Atlantis, but I would like to know how a modern city off the coast of San Diego would make things work.
