Another possible choice to play a live-action could be Mad Men's Christina Hendricks, who is seen above sporting a sparkly green outfit, and then a similar number for Atlantean formal dinners!
I think she'd make a better Poison Ivy. It might be hard to concentrate on Arthur if she played Mera, whereas Ivy is supposed to cloud men's minds with her looks.
Having seen her elsewhere (Drive, How Does She Do It?) I just can't see Hendricks playing a "straight" heroine like Mera. She'd need a role that was a little more cheeky.

Power Girl, and not just for the most obvious reason.

Damnit, Earth 2 Chris made the joke I was going to make.
I'd have no problem with this casting. She'd also make a killer Poison Ivy.
My alternate choice for Mera might be Jessica Chastain. She really reminds me of the current Johns/Reis/Pellitier version of her.

Yeah. Hard to believe I'm saying this about casting for a comic book heroine, but Hendricks might be a little TOO buxom for Mera.
