The hooded lady in AQUAMAN is on page 12 (the "I don't talk to fish" page), isn't she? You can see her on the far right in the third panel from the bottom. Atleast, it looks like her to me.

You're tearing me apart! Plus, I don't want to try to remember comments from 1-2 word shaky mnemonic notes a week from now thanks to The Procrastinating Shag. Should I mention I totally wrote that as "pneumonic" the first time? Seems sort of appropriate on a fishman blog. By the way, I really like the new Aquaman 70th anniversary banner and sidebar icon, except the font on the numbers. Needs waves or a cutlass or something.
1) "A little bit of comedy" sells the opening bits short. Ray Palmer's in search for them.
2) No one will ever mail me a signed copy of Martian Manhunter #1, mainly because I'm as welcoming as the Unabomber in both sentiment and accessibility. "You're writing J'Onn J'Onzz? Let me take a few moments to peruse your literature so I can explain how you're doing it wrong. Life, I mean."
3) When my crumby neighborhood comic shop ran out of Wonder Woman #1 inside two hours of delivery and had a loud discussion involving about seven mentions of British cigarettes, I decided to stop trying to but the New 52 off the rack. I kind of regret missing Firestorm though, because what I've seen online seems surprisingly cool.
4) Based solely on core concepts and what I've seen online, I'm pro-violence/mature themes on Firestorm, anti-same on Wonder Woman. I didn't order either, by the way, so them trades are going to have to hook me.
5) That snowflake line was great. Forgot that one.
6) Geoff Johns used to write heavier, back when I liked his work. He doesn't do that anymore, so I generally don't.
7) "Into my mouth, finny friends! Dive-- dive into my bowels! I salute your nutrients!"
8) The Arcudi/Gleason Aquaman> run sold around 18,000 copies in 2006. That's the last time there was a classic Aquaman with no heat behind him in any way. I figure that's your base for fans.
9) Totally with Rob on the Dylan encores. I loved the Cake concert I went to where they absolutely refused to play "The Distance," for instance.
10) I care only about good. Successful without good just means I have to spend years hearing from fans of Malefic and D'Kay.
11) I'm also sick to death of King Arthur, so yay.
12) I also think The Aquaman Shrine built up the fan base and "kept hope alive." This is too small an industry and the Shrine makes good sized waves. I also agree that Aquaman deserves to be among the very top tier super-heroes, to match his status in the popular consciousness of the entire world.
13) Is Luke the only conservative among the Justice League Bloggers?
14) Tell Shag he doesn't have to plug my 33⅓ different blogs in every podcast. It's like listening to a pharmaceutical commercial, especially with the continuous deterioration of his pronunciation of "Diabolu." It'll be the "Idol-Head of Ebola" by mid-October at this rate. (Actually, it was fairly close, except trading out the "LEW/LOU" for "LAH." Also, he sounded more like a redneck than me, the Texan. I need to hotlink Wiktionary for that guy.) Just pick one at a time before your listeners develop a Pavlovian glassing of the eyes at the mention of my "name."
15) "Everything you did wrong in this podcast?" So, like, no silver sharpie signed advance copies of your upcoming posts, then?
16) Luke hooked me up with the Wonder Woman pilot. For the record, it was awful in fun ways, with action sequences easily worth suffering through the show for.
17) I liked Shango. Just saying.

In regard to my procrastination, it's somewhat intentional. I figure people will see the AQUAMAN SHRINE post first. Then I normally come back a few days later and post it. That is to hopefully catch anyone that wasn't paying attention when the SHRINE posted it. Same concept of running a commercial multiple times. Anyway, that's just my philosophy. I posted episode 4 this morning since it's so topical.

Well, you can type it, at least. :)
I went to download this on my iPhone today (I listen to podcasts while I clean swimming pools a couple days a week), and noticed that you guys sneaked Episode 3 past me!
I was ever so curious as to how this slipped past me. Then I listened to the podcast and realized why you guys weren't as vocal about it. Rob didn't want me to retaliate for the Hal Jordan comments! It's all a conspiracy!
Seriously, though, it was another great episode. In spite of the two of you hating on my favorite heroes, the discussion was engaging as ever.
As for this current episode, I agreed with most of the views on Aquaman #1 (I haven't read Fury of Firestorm #1 only because I'm pretty broke at the moment). I actually prefer Johns' slow pace. He writes comics very similarly to the way I do, so I guess I appreciate his style more than most.
I think it's so cool that Ethan sent Shag an advanced copy of the book, but well... that's Ethan. I met him at Wizard World NOLA earlier this year, and he was beyond awesome. If you EVER have a chance to attend one of his Q&As, I strongly suggest you go. He broke out a cheap keyboard and sang original tunes and goofy covers the whole time. Nothing can really prepare you for the experience of listening to a big shot comic artist sincerely singing a song he wrote about being molested by Wolverine at Comic Con.
Man, this turned out much longer than I intended. In conclusion, you guys rock. I love the show, and darn it, I wanna be a guest on an episode! Maybe I could talk about GL or something, I dunno.
Keep churnin' these babies out, and I'll keep pimping this show to everyone around.
