Super Heroes Trash Can

sg
Another entry for my Grudge Against Shazam! file, courtesy our newest F.O.A.M. member, Craig Bostick.

This trash can, besides subbing Captain Marvel for Aquaman, is all over the place: no Wonder Woman, totally mismatched pieces of stock art (Adams, Beck, Kane, Infantino), and what's with that Flash shot? It looks like he's telling people to get out the way.

Thanks(?) Craig!

Update: Here's the back of the trash can, again courtesy of Craig:
sg
As Craig points out: "The other side prominently displays Wonder Woman, making Aquaman's omission that much more egregious."

You said a mouthful, Craig!

Why is the Flash in front of Superman? Is he tiny?

This thing is kind of a mess. :)

I have that trash can, and despite the lack of Aquaman, I like it.

In this case, I don't think we need to hate on the Big Red Cheese, but Flash and GL. They were only guest-stars or background members on Super Friends back then, and the Captain did have a TV show at the time...

Why are the smaller heroes all on there TWICE anyway?! They could have added another four or five characters!

I'm usually fine with shaking a fist at Captain "SHAZAM!" Marvel over Aquaman, since Billy is to Arthur as Red Tornado was to Martian Manhunter in the '70s (on a pathetically smaller scale.) However, is the Big Red Cheese really to blame here? Aren't the Flash and Green Lantern the interlopers here, seeing as their only claim to fame were being Super Friends/JLofAers in the cartoons?

Chris & Frank--You have a point. CM was a TV star, unlike Flash and GL. But I don't have (have yet to write) a "My Grudge Against Flash and Green Lantern" piece.

Jason--Yeah, that drives me nuts too. Didn't they have an Aquaman stock pose on hand somewhere??
