F.O.A.M.er Joe Mello sent me a link to the blog Adventures in Nerdliness, which featured a post about a failed 2001 pilot called Electra Woman and Dyna Girl, a sort-of half spoof/half sequel to the 1970s kiddie series.
It starred Markie Post as EG, and was commissioned by the WB, only never to make it as a series (sound familiar?). It centers around a young woman saved by EG as a girl, and features a strange cameo by...Aquaman! There's also mentions of Batman, Wonder Woman, etc., as if they're real people in this show's world. Odd stuff!
You can check out the whole pilot on YouTube here and here. Sadly, there's no credit for Aquaman on the pilot's IMDB page, so for now the identity of the actor remains a mystery.
Normally this would be enough for a normal daily Shrine post, but its a beautiful day outside and I'm in a good mood, so think of this as a little Aqua-bonus to kick off the weekend.
Thanks Joe!

Markie Post dressed in spandex. Bless you Robert Kelly.
Thank you for posting it here and alerting the Aqua-masses! I thought it was cool, but yeah, way weird! What was up with his ears???
And I would have watched this show had it gone to series. Looks like cheesy fun. Did you catch the little Flash cameo?
If Aquaman doesn't eat fish, what on earth DOES he eat?
Seaweed.
LOTS of seaweed.
