Super Powers T-Shirt

Here's a new t-shirt available in stores--the Super Power Sausage Party!

What the heck is with whoever put this together? Would Wonder Woman on this thing really have been so bad? Are people really clamoring for 70s-era General Zod on their shirts?!? At least Aquaman gets the front row, but still--where are the chicks?

Maybe there is an all-female version too? Where is this from? Also, who is that behind Aquaman?

Maybe there is ab all-female shirt, but why?

The shirt is from pics people took of the shirt on sale at Target.

That is El Dorado from the Super Friends.

I’m a long time visitor to the Shrine, but have never left a comment before. I had to break my silence on this post, which I read yesterday morning on my regular visit to the shrine. When I got home that evening, I was treated to a surprise birthday party by my wife and daughter, and what should I find amongst my presents but this very t-shirt, purchased at Target. After I finished laughing, I told them all about the post. My 5-year-old daughter was appropriately indignant over the lack of female characters on the shirt.

So, I just wanted to give this testimonial to the prophetic power of the Shrine. Perhaps, you can post an image of an autographed copy of More Fun Comics #73 this time next year. Keep up the great work.

Lack of women is not the only odd thing. Also:

- the mishmash of artists (likely to spare the expense of commissioning new art)
- the inclusion of characters who were not in the Super Powers line or in other SP merchandising that I've seen; while some (Nightwing, Kid Flash, Riddler, El Dorado) were likely to be in the never-produced Wave 4 or beyond, others (Captain Marvel Jr., Eclipso, Robotman???) are hardly conventional choices
- why Elongated Man (who was not a figure) and no Plastic Man (who was)?
- the proportions (Sivana seems bigger than Darkseid)

For anyone keeping score, this is one of the geekiest comments I have ever posted.
