Big news on the Aquaman front today, as the first pictures were released of the upcoming Throne of Atlantis line of action figures, (presumably) based on the look the characters will have in the animated movie!
And it's not just Aquaman and Mera we're being treated to--the King and Queen of the Seven Seas will have bad guys to fight:
One question: will there be a Topo Build-A-Figure??
Each figure is $19.95 (ouch!), and will be released in January 2015. Starting saving your pennies, Aqua-Fans!

I'm still streaming that Aquaman was replaced as a founding member of the Justice League in the first movie. It is going to be painful to buy the next movie, especially since I don't trust whether WB will just make Aquaman a one-off guest star. However, I'll support it in the hopes it convinces WB to keep Aquaman around in the future movies.
Whats with the headband on Aquaman? He looks like William Zabka in The Karate Kid.
^Is that a headband, or is it just the shadow from his sculpted bangs? Hard to tell there.
At least Arthur remembered to put his shoes on, as opposed to Young Justice, but Mera didn't!
These are nice, but unfortunately, $19.99 is the new (lower end) standard for 6"-7" action figures, these days.

What the heck is with the black pants? I hate how the folks behind these movies feel the need to reinvent the wheel every time they put something on the screen.
Benton, they don't look black to me, just a really dark green. 20 bucks a pop is ouchy though....
