Seems like the real Aquaman would be more respectful to an admiral, as he was to all the naval officers and sailors who were always calling him in to help on vital matters in the pre-Silver Age. I've never liked surly Aquaman.
Also, the real Aquaman would have said "I couldn't care less about your job" as that was the sentiment he intended to convey!
