Okay...it's not an official variant, but it was explained to me by F.O.A.M. member (and fellow Kubert School vet) Thom Zahler, who did the graphics behind all the awesome Jose Luis Garcia Lopez (PBHS) stock art, that this was a mistake made during the line of production. The "A" symbol is supposed to be filled in with white, but on this particular glass it dropped out leaving only the blue outline. Thom thought I would appreciate it (I would) and sent it along.
Sorry the pictures aren't the greatest, but around here I don't have a lot of time to pose fragile and/or wobbly objects, as Fig. 2 will attest:

He plays a good game of mini-golf too!
I think the cat is going to make this "Toon TUMBLER" live up to it's name.
