It's Adventure Sunday!
Oh for God's sake. Sometimes I wonder how Superman got to achieve such mythic status.
This month, Aquaman takes on a force more powerful than any two-bit smuggler:
Aquaman starts to wonder how this very same iceberg keeps managing to be the common denominator in these shipwrecks, heading to the sea floor to do a little investigating. After reviewing each wreck, he comes to the conclusion that not only is this one iceberg traveling great distances, it's even changing direction! How can this be possible?
Swimming below the icerberg, he sees it has a propeller--this is not a real icerberg! With the help of some eels, he borrows his way inside, and sees that it's completely man-made!

...and so ends another adventure with Aquaman!
Aquaman has dealt with this kind of situation before, but he deals with these bad guys in much more gentle terms. It was the 1950s, after all, and Dr. Wertham was watching.
I love the idea of Aquaman going on vacation at the end of the story. Too bad DC didn't have the ERB license, I would have killed to see an Aquaman/Tarzan team-up!

I notice Arthur's called "Fishman" twice on one page! Quite the popular insult back then...
Wonder how much insurance money that alliteratively-named guy plans to collect from his also-same-alliterative-named ships that'd make up for the cost of that tricked-out iceberg...
Re: Superboy: A strange "power-rod" Superboy brings back from a dead planet gives Pa Kent superpowers, and assumes a superheroic secret identity to help his super-son.
Dude! How can you let that awesome 'Sea Siren' go by without any comment?!
I love that the seal was specially trained by Aquaman!!

Peter Porter picked a peck of piranha...er, Peter Porter Pelicaned a pork of...uh, Peter Pelican pecked a pick of porgy...
Love the last panel. Aquaman's south seas vacation!
Hey Anthony, how many times did Pa Kent get super powers in the 50's? Is it in the double digits? And what about Ma Kent?
James Chatterton
@James: no idea, but seemed like a lot! Meanwhile, don't recall Ma getting many powers...such was the times...
