As the title suggests, in this issue the Sea King runs afoul of the Mob (as if you could do anything else), and Aparo perfectly executes the set-up, with the Aquaman logo incorporated into the background, crazy film noir-ish angles, and heavy blacks. Whoever colored this also helped out tremendously, covering the nascent victim in all blue, making Aquaman really pop off the background, a visual reminder he is *very* out of his element. Totally brilliant.

Splash Page Saturday: Aquaman #44
As the title suggests, in this issue the Sea King runs afoul of the Mob (as if you could do anything else), and Aparo perfectly executes the set-up, with the Aquaman logo incorporated into the background, crazy film noir-ish angles, and heavy blacks.
