Seriously, I had preordered all of the 52 but had to download this digitally as soon as it was up on ComiXology. And it was everything I hoped for and expected! Geoff Johns has a terrific grasp on the character and a wonderful place to begin his run. Ivan Reis' art looks even better than it did on Green Lantern and BLACKEST NIGHT, where he secured himself as one of the best artists working. This is a great first issue by an immensely talented team of creators. From the script, to the pencils and inks and color--everything fired at full blast. This will be a great title and I have a suspicion will be the first truly best selling AQUAMAN book on the racks.

Thank you, Misters Johns, Reis, Prado, Reis and everyone else involved for delivering my favorite book of the new 52 (so far)!

Aquaman #1 sells out, with sales of 100,000!

And yes, I didn't wait for mine to come by mail. Went to the local shop and bought it and read on my lunch break. WOOT!

Living in Australia I was a little excited in the knowledge the comic would reach me before anyone else.
And my store was the first to have it on the shelves (compared to other stores in town).
I had to read it straight away.
I loved it!
I disagreed with the criticism against Aquaman in the book, but that was also what made it interesting.
Of course I'm down for the whole series.
WOW.
