Surprising that Clark doesn't seem to get the difference between holding elected office and being a MONARCH! What do they teach in Smallville? (Plus, while Wonder Woman is also royalty, there actually IS someone there who held public/elected office, though only in her secret identity.)

Yeah, I always thought this scene was stupid. WHY would Oliver Queen get endorsements from The Super Friends? And wouldn't that make people *really* doubt that he and twin Green Arrow weren't the same guy!?
I also remember this story ended without letting us know if he had won or not....in hindsight he was at home sleeping so I guess it was obvious(?) that he lost, but at the time I thought it was done badly.

Hmmm... well, Ollie's secret identity always was pretty flimsy (way moreso than Clark's!)...

And yes, monarch != an elected position. Maybe he was just being nice/giving a subtle plug for his old JLA/childhood pal Arthur? :-p

I haven't read the story this is taken from, but I like this image. It's weird and playful and seems to be poised on that moment in comics when they were not only striving for realism but also starting to comment on themselves. Who's the guy in the wheelchair?

@Russell: Shortly before this endorsement from the cape-and-cowl set, Ollie Queen and Green Arrow just appeared on stage together for a little Q&A with the press, courtesy of Hal Jordan's power ring.

@Anthony...see Random Panel of the Day #249- http://www.aquamanshrine.com/2011/09/random-panel-of-day-249.html

@JBS: The guy in the wheelchair is the "sitting" mayor who also endorses Ollie.

@The Green Aaron: "!=" = "does not equal". Knew that wasn't an elected position (and yes, Green Arrow's remark to Aquaman in that linked panel's funny :-) ).
