The Freedom Train!

The Shrine likes to try and post something Independence Day-ish every year, but shots of Aquaman in conspicuously "patriotic" scenarios are pretty few and far between.

So I thought today would be the best time to post this, a two-page feature that ran in Justice League of America #113, about the 1947 event known as The Freedom Train. As you can see, Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, and a yellow-gloved Aquaman are quite excited about it!

I got to see the Freedom Train when it rolled into Huntington, WV back in the day. It would have been even more rockin' had Aquaman been involved.

How cool! And yes, if Aquaman had been there it would have been amazing!

I worries me a bit that Aquaman decided to wear yellow gloves on a day he's being held high up by one of Green Lantern's constructs, that's playing with fire!

Ha! Good catch, Aaron. I've seen this picture a million times and never thought about that.
