Roxanna is a master cosplayer, as these pics will attest--her recreation of Aquaman's costume is top-notch: I particularly love the texture on the shirt, which according to Roxie is made from two types of spandex. It looks like the chain-mail-esque pattern we all know from the comics, but also looks more feminine, a perfect look to go along with the person wearing it.
And the photos themselves are great, as well: well-staged and dynamic, they really make Roxie and her pals look like real-life superheroes (regarding the last photo: if I was Despero I wouldn't mind this JLA always arresting me).
Roxanna was kind enough to write an essay for my upcoming Hey Kids, Comics! book, and I'm proud to call her my friend. Be sure to check out Roxie's site to see some of the other stunning costumes she's put together, and nice job AquaLass!

Her costume is AMAZING! And rob!, you were right about teh internets blowing up. I blogged about the switched gender JLA myself. All of them looked amazing! Since you and Ronanna are so tight, couldja maybe have her slip Power Boy my number? Heh heh!
Such GREAT costumes! These gals are amazing!
Utterly fantastic! Lots of time, effort, and skill went into these. Honestly these are some of the best fan costumes I've seen, congrats ladies!
Wow - Just amazing on all counts! Great costume, has a classic super-hero feel, not a "let's make this cool for the kids now" thing. Love it!!!
These were all fantastic, but these three plus Superwoman and Powerboy especially blew me away. Great work!
Whew! Nice way to start the morning, that's for sure.
Very, very cool. I've always been curious how the heels-built-into-the-tights look was achieved.
