Okay, This Group of the JLA last only from issue 233-243, with Annual #2 as the jumping off point if I am not mistaken. There were 4 issues with the Cadre, two with the Maestro and two focused on Vixen then Amazo. Arthur left after the Amazo storyline. To me, this version gets a really bad wrap considering that it didn't have a chance to get going. Wish they would have given this a longer try out before pulling the plug and bringing back Batman.
I know it was all editorially driven, but JLDetroit may be Aquaman's worst moment as a character. He disbands the JLA, saying he'll only take members who can commit to it as a full-time job. Then he goes off looking for Mera and when he finds her, he bolts.

Mari is lucky Mera didn't shoot her with a blast of hard water!
Mari is such a nag! Arthur & Mera should have just waited for her to sort of smother & pass out before rescuing her.
Overall I didn't care that much for this iteration of the JLA, but I was soooo happy to see Mera frequently included as one of the gang.
