Here's a really out-of-left-field Aquaman reference, courtesy our newest F.O.A.M. member Steve McCarty, who posted this on the Shrine's Facebook page.
Apparently the Famous Footwear chain has an in-house magazine (who knew?) and in the Spring 2011 issue there's an interview with fitness guru Jillian Michaels, including a questionnaire. Check out the last answer:
Jillian Michaels is an Aquaman fan, who knew? And what are Aquaman socks? I've never seen any such thing!

I Googled "Aqua man sock", and this was one of the listings:

I am guessing that Etsy crafter doesn't have much knowledge of Aquaman other than he is "the underwater one".
I think Jillian meant to say "aqua-socks," which are like shoes you can wear in the water to protect the soles of your feet.
@Joe: yeah, I figured that since there was teal involved. :)
@Brent: OR maybe the crafter is subtly expressing what colors she thinks Aquaman should be sporting! ;)
@Joe: just as long as there's no black (underwear), right?
Perhaps this explains why Aquaman is so fit??
