The one thing I do remember is that it was called that on the site it was for sale, I guess because it uses the modified "A" that was adorning the Aquaman book during the whole Sub Diego storyline:
Even though I (of course) love the classic 60s logo the best, I thought this version was sharp-looking update of that original idea, and would have been just as happy to see this one be used in perpetuity and on merchandise.
Plus, that "Q" just looks sharp and nasty!

Bold hat, that's for sure. And I like that logo, too. Not bad.
Classic logo is my #1 favorite, but like you rob!, this one is a close, more modern second!
I have googled all morning to try and find this Aquaman New Era hat, but to no avail. I'll keep searching because it does look pretty spiffy, but no luck so far.
I had thought for awhile that Rob may not have saved a photo and this baby could have been lost to the internet. Glad to see it made its way up!
The one hopeful thing i will say is that New Era has always had a pretty good superhero hat selection on its site. Hopefully it may make it's way back with Aquamans knew found resurgence.
