Flashpoint Promo

sg
The Shrine's in-box was filled with messages from Aqua-Fans pointing me to this ad currently on DC's Source blog.

Wonder Woman and Aquaman married? What the?!?

I guess we'll all learn what it means this May...

Thanks to all the F.O.A.M.ers who alerted me to this, including our newest member
Joseph Stackhouse. Welcome Joe!

Paying off Christopher Priest's teases from the late '90s, it seems...

So excited for this! Way more excited to finally be a FOAM member!

Ugh... Not excited if it means splitsville for Aquaman & Mera when they were just getting all that CRAP behind them.

I know that is being presumptuous, by the way, but it is just a bad vibe.

Not sure what Flashpoint is. Some alternate universe miniseries?

Flashpoint is a Barry Allen/Professor Zoom "event" by Geoff Johns. In recent Flash issues Zoom (not the newer one, the original resurrected in Blackest Night) has been changing history.

This is an altered timeline story, so the current Aquaman stuff is "changed" in the past. He may not even know Mera in this.

Could that be Aqualad and Wonder Girl instead?

Did some poking around and that's definitely Aqualad's logo. Wondering if somehow the Amazon's are gonna get dragged into this war between Atlantis and the home of Mera and Black Manta (aka Aqua-Australia, think about it).

Pretty sure this is a House of M mirror universe type crossover guys. I don't think DC is actually marrying Arthur and Diana.

@anonymous

Its not Aqualad and Wonder Girl, its Arthur and Diana.

Flashpoint is rumored to focus on and reunite the big 7 of the DCU.

Hmmm. Brightest day wraps in May. Could this be the follow up event? I agree, though that this will be an alternate universe thing. Mera won't be going anywhere, at least not in the long term.
