The Shrine covered this crossover two-pack back when it debuted in Toyfare, but I had not yet seen the actual figures and package--that is, until our newest F.O.A.M. member, Eric Kwiecien, was kind enough to send us these pics!
These DC/MOTU match-ups are a lot of fun and this particular pairing makes a ton of sense; of course, my money's on Aquaman. I only wish we had seen this in the comics!
Very cool stuff Eric, thanks so much and welcome to F.O.A.M.!

Man, this makes me think back to 1985 when I was collecting Super Powers figures and my kid brother had his He-Man figures. We used to team them up all the time. Being the Aquafan that I am/was/always have been, this storyline always got a lot of my focus.
Other pairings I did included Hawkman/Stratos, Batman/Man-at-Arms, Flash/Ram Man, GL vs. Tri-Klops and Robin/Teela. Wonder Woman and the Sorceress would battle Evil-Lyn. WW would also have a very good rapport with Battle Cat.
you know, I really liked the previous DC/MOTU two packs, but had a hard time justifying the money ($30!). I think I would be willing to drop the money on this, however.
Just seeing them side by side is brilliant stuff. I agree Rob - a comic could've been a really sweet addition to this line, if not only in tribute to the comics of the original MOTU and Kenner Super Powers toys!

That artwork on the back is nice. Looks like Bob McLeod's work to me.
Chris
Is this available everywhere or is it a ToysRUs exclusive or what? I need to hunt it down!
