Daily Planet - 8/16/76

sg
Today's my birthday, and I'm taking the day off (or as close as I get with the Shrine). So here's DC's Daily Planet feature from August 16, 1976--thirty-four years ago today--featuring a little Aquaman-centric blurb, back when Arthur was headlining Adventure Comics.

Not sure what I'm going to do today, but since I spend so much time in front of my computer blogging, I should probably just go outside!

Update: This was the post I had originally scheduled for today, but once again F.O.A.M. member extraordinaire Russell Burbage and his fellow F.O.A.M.ers had something elaborate planned for my birthday, as you will see in the following post!

So Wonder Woman died? Great headline!

I just re-read "Adventure Comics" #448 last week! DC really should reprint those 1970s Aquaman stories in a TPB sometime!

Happy birthday, old chum! Or, as they say in Atlantis, "Glub! Glub!"

I agree with you about reprinting those 70s Aquaman stories...and not just because I wrote some of them (although I'll never say no to a royalty!). There's some good stuff by Michelinie and others, not to mention a whole honkin' load of fine art by Jim Aparo, Don Newton, and Don Heck.
