Aquaman Figure Set Catalog Ad - 1967

sg
This set makes me drool every time I see it--the 1967 Aquaman/JLA figure set by Multiple Toys, which features little full-color replicas of Aquaman, Mera, Mong(?), The Fisherman, and the useless-but-still-awesomely-cool Aqua-Sub.

Finding this set--or even the loose figures, save Aquaman--in any sort of condition is nearly impossible. And even if you did find one on eBay it costs more than an electric car. Someday, though, someday...

This catalog ad (click the image to see the whole page) is courtesy F.O.A.M.er Steve Fink. Thanks Steve!

Ah, this toy was the highlight of Mong's career. Growing up in Albuquerque, NM Mong looked forward to a bright future as a merciless super-villain. Unfortunately, he shared his asperations with his one-year older cousin Ming, who promptly moved to New York himself and ended up landing the choice role of Emperor of the Universe for himself. Wealth, women, and fame followed for Ming, leaving poor Mong to settle for this 1967 toy set and wistful dreams of what might have beens.

Is it supposed to be Mong of "Mong and his pack of killer dugongs"? Or am I thinking of someone else?
