This panel sums up for me so much of Ocean Master's motivation, the negative feelings that drive his villanous career. He hates his father for not giving him the attention he gave Arthur, and he hates Arthur for being the golden boy of the family.
If you think about it, Orm really only wants to "master the oceans" so that he can best Aquaman at his own game (and of course kill him in the process), and prove himself to his dead father. That to me sums up Orm perfectly, he lets jealousy and feelings of inferiority rule his actions.
Anyway, essay over. For some reason, I felt like giving a psychological profile to a fictional character today.
