2010 Toyfair Preview

These very exciting shots from the 2010 Toyfair (courtesy ToysNewsI.com) were sent to me by F.O.A.M.er Carl Stresing. Thanks Carl!

The first two pics are from the retro-Mego line, which I knew were coming out, but didn't know would be including Aquaman and Black Manta! Very, very cool! (Any chance we'll see an Aquaman Vs. The Great White Shark playset?)

Also pictured is the first time we'll have a Classic Aquaman in the JLU (now known more broadly as DC Universe) style, along with some other debuts: Plastic Man, Big Barda, and Brainiac. Also very cool!

The last couple of years have been great for Aquaman on the action figure front, and it looks as though that will continue on through 2010! Outrageous!

Sweet! I see three figures in that last picture alone I'll be picking up --

The Atom, Martian Manhunter, and of course Aquaman!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that Aquaman is based off the design that appeared in the Superman Animated series, right? I liked that design the best for the cartoon. Bearded Aquaman is fine and well, but clean shaven classic Aquaman is my favorite.

oh those new JLU figures look nice! definitely getting the Martian Manhunter for my collection (I buy just about everything Martian Manhunter, it's the one thing I still collect these days). I do like the looks of those new Mego-style toys, too.

What are those Mego style toys? I have never seen or heard of these before. Are they new? What's the price for these? High, I bet....I've seen classic Lost in Space dolls that cost $50 plus each. Needless to say, I haven't gotten any of them. :-(

Russell, they actually don't cost too much and they are a TRU exclusive. They have Green Arrow on sale @ MattyCollector and through them he's only $20, so the actual stores should be cheaper.

Definitely a good year for Aquaman it seams! So many nice figures I'll also sneak Plastic Man and Martian Manhunter into my budget if I can!

Black Manta mego looks mean!

I haven't seen any news or photos of Batman: B&B action figures from Toy Fair 2010, only a couple shots of Action Squad figures already on shelves. Does anybody know anything? Are they discontinuing the line of regular figures?

Rob - Check out the Comic Book Resources article on the Toy Fair. They have some amazingly clear images. They also have shots of an Aquaman/Black Manta two-pack from the DC Universe Classics line.
