Super Adventure Annual #6 - 1964

sg
This is the cover to the British title Superadventure Annual #4, published in 1964.

Even though the insides of the books consisted of reprints from the American versions, as you can see for the covers they went a little wild! Aquaman looks like he's naked, Tommy Tomorrow is all over the place, and The Flash looks nymph-like in his almost-one-color outfit and extra-long head wings. Of course, Superman is subjected the least amount of costume tinkering.

I don't remember where I got the scans for this book, since I don't have the actual issue in my collection (dang it). All I have is the cover and the back cover:
sg
Aquaman, Tommy Tomorrow, and Jimmy Olsen are recognizable, but that is one crazy Flash! How does Barry clear doors in that mask?

Comics.org doesn't have much info on this series, but I found a page featuring most of its covers here. Check it out, some really nifty stuff!

those wings on Flash's head are insane.

Strange. Aquaman really does look way too flesh-colored!

Flash looks like that "Firestarter" guy!

I wonder if the colorist got Arthur confused with the nearly-naked Namor?

Maybe, but said colorist also got Jimmy's hair wrong. He's a redhead!

Look how smug Jimmy looks, too. I just want to smack him.

All you need is a belt, really.
