JLA/Aquaman Sketch Cards - 2009

sg
This is just a small sample of the (virtual)ton of scans of Aquaman-centric "sketch cards" sent to me by F.O.A.M. member Christopher Chance. Thanks Chris!

These are all from the Justice League of America trading card set, on sale now. I'm happy to see the Sea King represented so heavily; I can only imagine how many Batman and Superman cards there must be out there!

I've been fortunate enough to land one of the sketch cards, I guess the odds are against me I'll find another Aquaman-centric one. But I guess you never know...and that's partly what keeps me buying a couple packs of them every week.

Well played, DC, well played.

Wow, these are all basically...lack-luster. I think *I* could draw just as good if not better than some of these (specifically the top right and bottom & middle lefts). I don't recognize any of the signatures, which I guess is a good thing. My favorite is either the top left or bottom right for the sheer "artsiness" of the work.

I like the first and third cards the best. Fun stuff!

So are these unique drawings? Are the these part of the Justice League Archive card line? I am so confused...

George-

Yes, these one-of-a-kind sketch cards are inserted into random packs of the JLA cards. So if you get one, you've got the only one.

A fun little extra, even if, in some cases, the art is a little dodgy.

Quick note! I have now seen some of these on EBAY for $20.00 and more. I think the one Rob got I saw for $23.00. Take a look.
