F.O.A.M. member Branden E just sent me a link to a ToonZone interview with Lauren Montgomery, director of the Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths animated movie.
When asked other DC Universe film she hopes to direct one day, she says this:
"I want that Aquaman project, but I doubt we’ll ever make it."
Huh. What to make of this? The second part of the sentence is easy to grok, but it's interesting that she says "That Aquaman project" as if there's a script out there that just hasn't been produced yet.
There's no other mention of Aquaman in the entire interview. So for right now, I'm confused.
In any case, thanks for the link Branden!

I saw that too, but I wasn't sure whether she meant that she will never get to make it herself, or if it will never be made at all.
I don't see any reason why it shouldn't be made, because a well-made Aquaman animated movie would attract a sizable audience. Just look at the performance of the Aquaman live-action pilot on iTunes.
How can Aquaman not be given the animated green light? He's iconic, has a setting that lends itself to animation, and can be done at a fraction of the live action costs!
You have to ask with all the suits saying an Aquaman feature cant go ahead because it isn't profitable, without a recent one to relate to - what do they create their opinion from?
exactly Dan. Especially with them doing special features on the Warner Premiere dvds now. If the Spectre deserves some 15minute clip, Aquaman certainly deserves his time.
