I was just in my local Target, and saw that the second wave of DC Super Friends figures are now out. I checked the back of one of the packages, and there were a few surprises.
First, this second wave features variant versions of the main characters. Most of them involve slight uniform changes, but if you strain your eyes you can see there's an alternate version of Aquaman that with his short sleeves and metal-ish shoulder pads, looks a lot more like the Sword of Atlantis version of the character. (Sadly, I could not find this version hanging on the pegs)
Second, Robin has been added to the line, which makes total sense. But this is the first I've heard of it.
Third, Green Lantern is not pictured at all. Has he been dropped from the line, or just for this wave?
Lastly, a big "Unavailable" sticker has been slapped over the picture of the Hawkman figure. What the heck does that mean? Is that in perpetuity, just for now...?

And, once again, from the looks of it, a toy company has deemed it necessary to provide the fastest man alive with... a vehicle. That's right. The Flash can break the speed of light on foot but he just might want to catch a ride to the next adventure instead.
NOOOOOOOOOO!
MATTEL, WHY DO YOU TORTURE ME?!
Dixon, I saw the Flash vehicle at my local Target. It looks like a Whirlybird one-man helicopter. It actually looked pretty neat, in the Aquaman-Doesn't-Need-A-Sub type of neat, of course. :-)
