Aquaman #2 Ad - 1962

sg
F.O.A.M. member Robby Reed sent me this beautiful, Ira Schnapp-designed ad for Aquaman #2, from way back in 1962! Thanks Robby!

I never cease to be amazed how much stuff Schnapp could cram into a tiny space, and yet make his ads look clean, crisp, and clear.

It's a real shame he's not around any more to do comic cons; I'd park myself at his table, just hoping to pick up some more graphic design talent by osmosis.

Oh, by the way, we all need to buy this when it comes out:

So I'm loving the hoodie up until the point that they added the fake muscles. Look at the other hoodies advertised. They didn't give fake muscles to any other characters. Is it because Aquaman doesn't have a chest emblem? Or they think his masculinity needs some help?

I kinda dig it, I think the fake muscles are there more for the scales, plus it will hide my moobies!

...I want them ALL (well, except for Thor's helmet)...
