Justice League Unlimited Figure - 2007

sgI thought why not make it an all-JLU weekend?

This is a brand-new addition to the JLU line, an Aquaman with two hands(and a nice cape!). I don't remember ever seeing a two-handed Aquaman on the show, so this is an odd choice; I'm happy for its existence nonetheless.

This Aquaman is being sold both as a single figure and(much more easily found) a three-pack with Superman and Dr.Light. He also features fairly prominently on most of the JLU packaging, so even though he didn't have a huge presence on the show, he's near center-stage for the toys. I'd love to know who decides stuff like that, and whether there's any level of personal preference involved.

In any case, it's cool.

sgI Clearly Have A Problem Department: Thanks to some help from a fellow rabid fan, I have created yet another blog, called Power Records, about...well, you can just go over there and see for yourself.

Me? I'm off to Bloggers Anonymous...

Aquaman: He had two hands in his very first Justice League appearance, and cut it off at the end of that.

Power Records: I really should have split my Trek, RPG, Comics and DVD Tales posts into separate blogs... The SBG is such a mess.

i realized that as soon as i posted it, but it still seems like an odd choice for a new figure.

note to mattel: I'M NOT COMPLAINING, THOUGH!

Except for the whole exaggerated "Timverse" physique, it's a nice figure. I don't understand why they don't release regular looking action figures to go along with the show. It's not like kids wouldn't recognize Suerpman if he's not top heavy.......

Have to go with Benton, here...

I LOVE the Dini/Timm stuff - but art-wise, the earlier, better. As they all became walking cheese wedges, it became a lil' silly!

Looked ready to fall over, like the giant-topped, teeny-bottomed Bulldogs in the classic Looney Tunes!

(Bring on the "duh duh duh duh DUH duh duh duh" music!)
