...well, here you go, Chris! Who says The Aquaman Shrine doesn't aim to please?

Seriously, though--how is it that Garcia Lopez makes every character he draws look so dynamic and cool that you'd swear they could support their own comic? Who's up for All-Star Mera?

Ooh, I like this! Is it taken from the Arthur-on-his-sea-horse pose? It looks like that version of Mera. Ah, Mera, another on the long list of underused and under-developed super-heroines....(sigh)

Poor Mera. She's been nuts so many times I can't even keep count now. Here we see her in happier times. The hottest mom in comics. Yes, she was hotter than Sue Richards!

Thanks Rob!

Mera is a smokin' hot momma, next to Batgirl, me likee.

I swear, Aquaman was the first victim of the trend in comics where no hero can be happy....especially not at home. Soon, even Peter Parker will join their ranks.

On the brighter side, I would totally read a Mera mini-series, and with the right writer, it could rock.

At the risk of asking a stupid question... The flippers are part of the costume, right?

I mean I just can't get past those flippers...

i think she was drawn with flippers most of the time pre-1990 or so.

she's still a hot mama, flippers or no. no wonder Arthur missed so many JLA meetings!

Indeed, for my money, Mera's the hottest mama in the DC Universe. (Next to Batgirl? This from the man behind the Aquaman Shrine? Come on. There's no contest.) I'd subscribe to All-Star Mera in a heartbeat! The stock art is lovely.

Dixon-

the "next to Batgirl" comment was from Brian, not me! Mera's #1 in my book:

"Scram, minnow! Go visit the Titans or something. Me and Mera need some alone time!"

OJ--thanks for the link, i SO will be buying that set! And Aquaman doc as an extra?> Why was i not involved???

And she's got a twin sister ... an EVIL twin sister! Arthur, you lucky (sea)dog you.

And (warning: Aqua-apologist at work!) Mera wasn't nuts. She was grieving. Or maybe all the "crazy" stuff she did was really Hila!

Regardless, we've seen precious little about Mera's home dimension over the years. Like Tom Curry, just more wasted Aqua-potential ...

Ah! I beg forgiveness, Rob. I don't know what I was thinking! The comments page was a chaotic blur. Clearly I need to be getting more sleep. I'll get my coat...
