As promised, we saved the best for last.This is an absolutely beautiful illustration of Arthur's queen, Mera, by Chris Sprouse. Not only is Mera the focus of the page, but the depth of field is excellent, and the floating-in-water effect is top-notch. Also, I don't know if it was Sprouse or the colorist who made the choice to have the color-hold bands of blues and greens in the background, but it's a really nice touch whoever did it. One of the few Who's Who entries that I feel was good enough to be a poster.
I believe Sprouse was busy at the time drawing the Legion of Superheroes, which is too bad since, based on this, he would've been an excellent choice to take over Aquaman.
