Mego Comic Action Heroes Action Figure - 1976

sgOne of Mego's Comic Action Heroes line. Standing 3 and 3/4" tall, they are frozen into the oddest position any action figure has had to endure--ostensibly so they could both stand on their own and fit in vehicles, but you tell me--what does it look like Arthur is doing here?

I would love to have this figure in its package, as well, but they've been a bit overpriced to my mind when I've found them on ebay, so no luck so far.

Read more about this and the other Mego lines at The Mego Museum!

I always assumed from the pose that he came with a trident. I later found out I was wrong. Do you have the stand? This isn't quite the oddest Aquaman in my collection (that would be the Camel Cigarette pack, I think) but it's one of them.

I know, I know! He's doing his best "now that the parents are away and you're sleeping over at Neverland Ranch Michael Jackson" impression!

That is almost as disturbing as my favorite piece of Aquaman merchandise. But, we'll get to that one when you decide to post it.

no, i don't have the stand/giant hunk of cheddar that it came with. i think i bought this at one of the San Diego cons and i was thrilled just to find it for a less-than-astronomical price.

yo have that camel cigarette pack? ive seen it on ebay a bunch of times but have yet to take the plunge.

Arthur is the toughest in this set to find IMO, although he's still pretty reasonable.

i've seen it on ebay in the package for around $400-$500, which seems outrageous to me. its not like i'm keeping up with the values, but that seems like a lot to me.

He doesn't crop up much and I will admit to paying 4 bills for my first one, I got my second one (a rare variant card) for $135.
I later resold my first one for $200, they go all over the place these things.
