This news has already been discussed extensively all around the web (including the Shrine's Twitter feed), but the Shrine would be remiss if we didn't at least mention it here: kinda buried on the back of the new Assault on Arkham DVD is this piece of Aqua-News:
Many people, including Geoff Johns himself, said this Aquaman animated movie was going to happen, but I think this is the first official confirmation that Justice League: Throne of Atlantis is happening! As happy as I am about this news in general, I'm just as happy at the idea that some of Reis/Prado/Reis' powerful, dynamic storytelling will be translated into animation. If it is, that will make for one handsome movie.
It looks like Aqua-Fans will have animated Aquaman in 2015, then live-action Aquaman in 2016! Outrageous!
