JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time

sg
I'm sure many of you are looking at this and wondering, "What's the heck is this?"

This is JLA Adventures: Trapped in Time, an all-new original animated movie starring the Justice League that debuts exclusively at United States Target stores on January 21st! If you read the write-up on World'sFinestOnline.com, you'll see that, for some unfathomable reason, Warner Bros. is putting this out as a "stealth release", in that they are doing absolutely no advance promotion: no commercials, no preview copies to media outlets, not even a trailer! Consequently, there's very little info on the title--IMDB doesn't even have a page for it yet.

The write up at the above link says it features "The traditional Justice League line-up", and indeed you can see Aquaman pictured on the box art. So I guess the next time I'm shopping at Target, I'll be swinging by the entertainment section to give this a look.

If anyone gets this movie and wants to review it for the Shrine, drop me a line and we'll make arrangements. All us Aqua-Fans need to know if the Sea King makes an appearance!

Producers confirmed via Twitter that Aquaman as well as the Legion of Super Heroes (that's Dawnstar & Karate Kid on the cover) AND the Legion of Doom as well -- can't wait for this, done in TAS-style it should be fun!

From the Superman Homepage, here is the official description:

"Get ready for a battle of the ages when the Justice League faces off against its archenemies, the Legion of Doom, in an all-new movie from DC Comics. A mysterious being known as the Time Trapper arises, and a sinister plan led by Lex Luthor sends the Legion of Doom back in time to eliminate Superman, Wonder Woman and Batman before they become super heroes. For Aquaman, Flash and Cyborg, along with teen super heroes Karate Kid and Dawnstar, the stakes have never been higher, the rescue mission never deadlier. So join the fight for the future as the Justice League confronts its ultimate challenge... the threat of having never existed!"

Sounds a lot like that old Challenge episode, doesn't it? Not that that's a bad thing. I love that one.

That was on eof the best episodes. If Aquaman Flash and Cyborg have to Save them, that makes it an awesome movie.

Somehow they sneaked this movie in there, with no advertising. Since it has Aquaman in it, I will certainly consider making a purchase to check it out.

Hmmm... "traditional JL"?!? Where's Green Lantern and Martian Manhunter? I get that we don't consider MM to be part of the new JL, but we should AT LEAST be seeing GL in there... Is GL the character that gets left out? And why?!?

Glad Aquaman gets to be in it, though... ;^)

Strike one was Wonder Woman brandishing a sword. Strike two was the lack of Martian Manhunter. This could still happen for me, but if it turns out to be some cheap flash animated crap...
