The Time/Life Collection's Shagg Nipper's?
Track One: Is that opening from some WWII air raid reporting, and if so, is its usage in bad taste? Related: Using an old school Super Friends remix track instead of an opening that featured both Aquaman and Firestorm, like "The Legendary Super Powers Show" or "Galactic Guardians?"
Track Two: My favorite part is the "oh-whoa-oh-oh" harmonizing, but I also like the mid-80s Queen breakdown and Stein blinding me with science.
Track Three: Just all around dig this mellow gold.
Track Four: It's a good tune, but Hal strikes me as more of 60s/70s AOR douche. Great, now I've got Eddie Money on the brain. "Gotta-- Power Ring to Paradise! Screw those Guardians on Oa! Gonna-- bag a Zamaron tonight! Jordan'll make her moan-ahhhhh!!!!"
Track Five: Never made the Arthur Curry-Dashboard Confessional connection before, but I can see it.
Track Six: Jon Lajoie listens to the Fire & Water Podcast?
Track Seven: I sincerely hope Scipio Garling has heard this one by now, though he'd probably make some hoighty-toighty distinction between the Chicano War dubstep and Puerto Rican Reggaeton or somesuch. It's chill, yo! I love how wild it gets by the end.
Track Eight: Dig the Victoria Jackson callbacks.
Track Nine: I need a lyrics sheet, because I've heard that song for over a dozen episodes, at least twice per episode, and I still hear it as "Batman! Hawkman! Tootie-Man & Hourman..." What does Kim Fields have to do with the Definitive Directory of the DC Universe, and wasn't Jo the one we always figured had gender identity issues?
Track Ten: Like the closing song on Saturday Night Live, The Bad Mamma Jammas always manage to induce a slight, unintended melancholy by announcing that the party is over, and you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here.
I think folks were kind of hoping for individual track downloads, but the single file could be easily edited with freeware for those so inclined. It's like the olden days of Napster when folks uploaded whole albums as a unit...
