Okay, I'll admit, the Hal/Parallax as the big bad of Zero Hour surprised me. I think it was partially because I tried to ignore what they had done to Hal.
I suspected the Earth-Two Superman. The blacked-out caped figure from the previews looked quite a bit like him. When he smashed Alan Scott's ring, I thought that was a confirmation that Alan's old teammate had gone rogue.
I'm glad I was wrong, but at that point any return of the discarded Earth-Two heroes was welcomed by me. Then they did Infinite Crisis...sigh.
