Funny you should comment on the amount of comments you guys get, because I was just about to stroke your egos. I have to say, you guys have the best rapport of any podcast going. So much so, that I'm going back and listening to all your episodes, from the beginning, even though they are mostly about comics I don't even own!
Seriously, you two have something special here. I now listen to quite a few podcasts, and some of these folks, God bless them, they really try, but they have the radio presence of mud. And others go overboard and just stomp all over their co-hosts. It's aggravating.
You've hooked me. It took Who's Who to get me in the door, but now I'm a Nuclear Sub for life.

Thanks for another entertaining episode, gents! Sadly I still had to skip the Aquaman review, seeing as I am waiting for my store to ship my books, but I thoroughly enjoyed the Firestorm discussion. I need to track that run down, it seems.
I did hear enough to know that Murk is involved in this Aqua-issue, and while I share Rob's barely-concealed contempt for the character, in-and-of himself, I love the idea of Murk as an avatar of the worst elements of Aquaman's previous characterizations. If they reveal that he was raised by dolphins, I'll enjoy it even more. I'm looking forward to Arthur beating the pants off of him. Heck, I wouldn't even mind the guy becoming a subordinate villain as a way to provide Aqua-fans with a cathartic release from the trauma of years and years of bad writing.
Finally listened to the show. I didn't get the new issue until this week cuz I was in my actual hometown of St. Louis, although I have moved around a lot since I was an (aqua) lad!
Loved the commentary on both issues; there definitely is a charm and fun about older comics that are not found in the new ones....now as you have discussed, is that because WE can't find the fun, or because it's really not there? Discuss.
I thought AQUAMAN #22 was dull this month. The fight scenes seemed eh and just space fillers to get to the last scenes. My favorite part was when the Terrible Trio say they will be at the prison in about half an hour, I thought, "Well call me when you get there cuz ain't nothing happening here!" ;-)
I think I would like a Russell Crowe on Krypton movie if only because it would not be called "SUPERMAN." :-)
