What If...Golden Age Aquaman #1

sg
F.O.A.M.er Tyrone Biljan is a whiz at designing totally real-looking vintage comic book covers and assorted geekery. Here, he took all that skill and nerdly dedication and came up with an alt-universe Aquaman #1 from the 1940s!

Uatu-like, I imagine a pocket universe where Aquaman's strip in More Fun Comics was so popular that DC immediately decided to award the Sea King his own title. As you can see from the cover, Aquaman wastes no time getting down to business, which in this case means giving a bunch of Ratzis a personal tour of Davey Jones' Locker. Thanks to Tyrone for this truly awesome custom cover!

Great Neptune, I love this thing.

Really, really cool.

This is pretty rad, but I can't help but notice that even on fan covers Aquaman can't escape the yellow glove.

Blu--The GA Aquaman wore yellow gloves so this cover is entirely period accurate!
