Super-ventriloquism is the ability of Superman (and other Kryptonians) to throw their voices across vast distances. While Superman had used (regular) ventriloquism in the Golden Age, by the Silver Age, it'd been upgraded to "super"-levels. Superman would often use it combined with his super-hearing to converse long-distances (more impressive before everyone and their brother had cell phones/bluetooth earpieces ;-) ). Seems to be one of the powers dropped with the Byrne reboot (along with using *regular* ventriloquism---too Golden Age/pulp novel-ish I guess...).

An explanation hardly seems necessary.
Ah, Silver Age comics, when it took you longer to read one panel than it takes to read a whole issue nowadays.

Very true E2C, very true...
What exactly is "super-ventriloquism"? And how can I get that power?
I can confidently say this is the beefiest Aquaman to appear in a DC comic.
Not only is super-ventriloquism unquestionably the greatest superpower ever created, it also conveniently works underwater! And from inside whales!
Al Plastino KNEW beefy...

Silly power, but I liked it. ;-)
And he could drink a glass of water while doing it, too.
