Art-wise, I detect just a slight Frank Miller influence, in the relative lack of detail, preferring to let blocks of color tell the story, which I think is quite effective. As nice-looking as it is, though, with all the acoutrement Arthur is rocking I would not want to have to draw this particular version of him page after page!

FIRST!
Also, I like the boots. The hand, for my taste, is too funky and I love capes, but...come on. No. The crown is nice. Hate the guantlet. HATE IT. Take away the spikes and it goes to "Eh?"
Overall, I'd say that I would only read "Final Fantasy Aquaman" over here if he were in an elseworlds Justice League one shot. It's not horrible, but...Wait...Is that a 70's leisure suit collar? No.
No, No,No.
Definitely an interesting take!
I like it quite a bit. The design looks like a "mighty sea sorceror/warrior" Aquaman who might pop up in a Studio Ghibli/Hayao Miyazaki film.
