I liked how Aquaman was treated as a real super hero amongst the jokers in the JLI in this arc. This was a fun storyline, but in many ways was kind of the "jump the shark" moment in the JLI series. It kind of became a parody of itself at this point. I didn't mind much though, thanks to Adam Hughes artwork!
I agree; I liked how in this storyline Aquaman is the Can-Do adult superhero; a little too serious but a nice contrast to the buffoonery of Booster and Beetle.
And yeah, Adam Hughes! Too bad Mera didn't show up!
