You can click the image to embiggen, though I suggest you don't, since this thing is so hideous to look at. "Zero Hour" took place in 1994, and that's just about when Adobe Photoshop really became widely available to most graphic designers. I know from experience that people were in love with all the bells and whistles the program could deliver; if one splashy tone was good, five must be better! Bevel that type, and emboss it while you're at it! Hence, you got stuff like this.

Any chance we'll ever get you to talk at length about it?
I remember being excited for Zero Hour and the changes ahead. Amazing that it was 18 years ago!
Wizard's graphic design often led to uncontrollable eye-bleeding. Those issues are hard to look at now. Probably one of the reasons I recycled most of my Wizard magazines a few years back.

I've always felt this was one of Aquaman's better eras... The hook hand may have been extreme, but I think DC was just trying to do what they're doing now and make Aquaman cool for the teen crowd... Worked on me... I still, to this day, wish Arthur at least had the beard from this era... None of the other main leaguers have a beard... ;^)
