While I definitely respect the guy for inventing the character, I don't think he could possibly be more wrong about The Punisher. The Garth Ennis Punisher -is- the iconic version that at least my generation loves. That version certainly is the reason people today wear those t-shirts.

And for the record, I loved the Thomas Jane film which, by the way, earned a lot more money than the actual disaster that was Punisher: War Zone. The Punisher hauled in $54,700,105, while War Zone limped to a mere $10,100,036. Adding in DVD sales, The Punisher raked in $115 million, which demolished War Zone's numbers.

Sorry for the little rant, there. I actually enjoyed the hell out of the rest of the interview. I was very surprised to hear that he invented Killer Croc! That's awesome!

I really did not want to listen to this guy because 1. I'm not a big fan of Firestorm (sorry, Shagg); 2. I liked Gwen Stacy; and 3. Not a huge Gerry Conway JLA fan.

However....

It was interesting. As soon as he said that he put Firestorm in the JLA because he (Ronnie) needed adult supervision, he got me. :-)

On the other hand, I never ever really got that vibe while reading the actual JLA book, hahaha!!!
