So sad. Marvel gets an apparently awesome Avengers movie that will probably break records. And we're supposed to be excited about Robot Chicken JLA? Thanks DC. Not impressed.

I kind og agree with Rick on this one too. Much as I love DC over Marvel, I must admit that on the whole, DC movies aren't nearly as good as Marvel movies. But, all that being said, I love RC and am definitely looking forward to the RC DC Comics Special. I have no doubt I'll laugh out loud. A lot.

It's sad going into Wal Mart these days...all Marvel, all the time, as far as action figures, etc. I'm sure the Disney merchandising juggernaut is behind a lot of it, but it's also DC's weak media presence.
I felt the same way. Sure, it'll be funny. But it will also be yet another big step backwards for Aquaman.

It might not be a step back for our hero. Geoff Johns is one of the writers of the special.
Judging by the goofy look on Aquaman's face, he will most likely either be the butt of the jokes or an accidental badass, but never on porpoise.

In seriousness though, I am looking forward to this special. I'm a big fan of Robot Chicken and I know it will be all sorts of irreverent fun.
I've tried to love the show for years; but for me, it's never been as funny as the template Twisted Mego/Totfare Theater.

I don't think it's just Disney marketing that makes the Marvel movies better. Marvel heroes have been portrayed by A-list talent (Downey,Johanson,Evans) with scripts that manage to revere the mythos of the characters while injecting a freshness into them. DC movies tend to exaggerate the cartoonishness of the stories and tinker with fundamental elements of the backstories. Iron Man relaunched Downey's career not because it was a good superhero movie but because it was just a GOOD MOVIE. A person with no fanboy background could understand it, FX didn't overwhelm the plot, and the plot was at least comprehensible. Contrast that to the Green Lantern movie. I really wish Warner Bros respected their characters as much as the fans or even the general public.
Just to clarify, I didn't consider the Fantastic Four movies to be very good at all. I was mostly counting the Spiderman series as well as the movies leading up to the Avengers. The Marvel people did a great job of developing these characters before having them team up. This is something DC has failed to do and will need to do before a successful Justice League movie can happen.
