I'm downloading the podcast now. My initial comment is directed toward the poll "What New New 52 Titles Are You Interested In?" It does not include National Comics, which I think I will read. I will not read anything else on the list. In fact, I'm looking to cut back on old New 52...

1. I never noticed that Aquaman was left out of the Justice League of America cartoon. It was only three episodes, but still an odd slight.

2. I guess "The Spectre & Water Podcast" is one way to go after Firestorm gets canceled any... minute... now...

3. I think the latest images from Trinity War involving a de-fleshenated cyborg in Detroit, Michigan means Vibe ain't the only JLDer making a (brief, brutal) comeback in the DCnU.

4. Associating Luke Dobb with Lloyd Dobbler is probably kinder than Lou Dobbs. Luke, the only hurt I feel is in being associated with a filthy chimpanzee, whereas I feel a greater spiritual kinship to the wily spider monkey. Still, I understand the confusion, as we both fling our feces indiscriminately.

5. No Dubious Frank to go with the Irredeemable and Irascible Ones?

6. "Bean Carter Hall?" Sounds like a carnival attraction.

7. The sculpted plastic capes used for Total Justice/JLA were pretty sweet. Toy Biz capes were crap, though.

8. J'onn J'onzz as a jerky sap was specific to the 1970s. He was reasonably intelligent, reserved, and effective throughout the Silver Age, though a bit weird and counterintuitive by Earth standards. The more sober version of Manhunter from the Timmverse took shape throughout the 1980s and beyond.

9. Probably part of the reason I had a Super Powers Martian Manhunter in the first place was because it was a discounted peg warmer in 1985. I routinely see him as a leftover in the Justice League line as well. Where will the future generation of J'onn J'onzz apologists come from if we snatch their encheapened figures off the shelves of Big Lots?

I just listened to this last night. I've been busy watching the Stanley Cup playoffs and reading and writing. Liked the show very much! You guys make me laugh. :-)
