Aquaman Art Gallery: John Trumbull

sg
This fantastic portrait of Aquaman ala Roy Lichtenstein is by F.O.A.M.er John Trumbull, for the CBR column, The Line It Is Drawn. Oh, Aquaman, you're always so stubborn!

I'd say this piece is actually better than a real Lichtenstein--not only is it a handsome image all by itself, but John didn't do it by ripping off some underpaid comic book artist and then make millions in the process.

You can see more of John's work over on his DeviantArt page!

Right -- I only ripped off a painter who made millions ripping off underpaid comic book artists, so it evens out. Circle of life.

Thanks for featuring my stuff here, Rob!

By the way, the Shrine made a tremendous contribution to this piece, since I used a page of Nick Cardy art from this post as reference:

Specifically, the closeup at the bottom of pg. 24. So thanks again! I couldn't have done it without you!

Thanks, Russell!

By the way, if someone out there DOES want to pay me millions for this, that would be FINE. :)
