Probably the best Mera issue ever! Following months of the typical 'female gets kidnapped, and male lead must find and rescue her' storyline, we get Mera freeing herself and reuniting with Aquaman after coming to HIS aid! Very unusual for the time.
And she gets to bust out some Atlantean jiu-jitsu on those armed thugs. And run! I know I'm in the minority as a fan of her old flippers, but I guess they WOULD hinder running and produce a rather comical sound as she was making her getaway. Not stealthy, is what I'm sayin'.
