Funny, I just re-read these issues. I remember Garth witnessing Raven freaking out and going all demonic ont he HIVE guys. Good stuff.

Too bad DC came up with that soft/hard cover program. That accelerated the death of the real NTT by Wolfman and Perez. Watered everything down too much.

Is that a coloring error or was Garth really Namor-naked for a while?

E2Chris--I agree; I think DC kinda killed the golden goose by trying to turn one book into two.

David--Nope, Garth is shirtless in this sequence.

The shirt got damaged the issue before during the initial battle with the HIVE. They then retreated and went to the Titans for help. Next issue, PAYBACK.

Best three issues of Tales Of The Teen Titans---I re-read this set once every couple of years as it was that much fun to see Garth and Tula in action together. Ahhh, the good ol' days!

Marv made up for all those times he just had Garth show up to bring something to the surface for the NTT, with his usual "I have to get back to Atlantis" or "I'm not much good to you out of the water...blah blah".

Yeah, there were a lot of excuses as to why Garth wasn't able to hang around (my favorite being "Arthur's off chasing down Mera again, so I have to mind the baby" and that he liked being called "Uncle Aqualad"). Even without his magical abilities, there was a lot of value on land in having a kid around who could lift the weight of a truck over his head or flatten a dozen hired henchmen.
